Proof That Lawyers Are Not Evil

…or at least proof that at least one former lawyer is not evil. I am not sure what made me think of this recently. Judge Ernest Jones took office a couple of years ago, if I recall correctly (I may not be recalling correctly). While he was an attorney, he did a lot of divorce work. On his website, he posted a letter to his clients under the heading “firm philosophy” that is worth a read.
Even though he’s judging now, the letter is still online. Check it out. The approach outlined applies equally to nearly any contested matter.
