Ledger Profiles Local Attorney/Musician
by Kemp Brinson
The Ledger ran a profile today of Bartow attorney Sergiu Gherman, who is also a gifted pianist. I do not have much to add, except that I have been opposite Sergiu on a couple of cases and he is, indeed, extremely intelligent and analytical. I have never heard him play, but hope to eventually.
There are actually a surprising number of local attorneys and judges who are musicians. Judge Prince play fiddle and banjo, Judge Curry plays guitar (I think), and retired Judge Charles Brown plays piano/keys and guitar. Local attorney Lance Holden plays guitar and I play bass guitar and double bass. A fellow attorney at my firm is taking piano lessons. I am sure there are others that I am not aware of. As far as I know, Sergiu is the only one among us who is so well trained on his instrument.
